A continuous brass frame rises and falls around white alabaster globes, giving the familiar shape of a linear chandelier a softer, more expressive rhythm.

The curved profile feels sculptural in daylight. When illuminated, the alabaster reveals its individual veining and tonal variation, adding depth to the rounded shades. How do I choose between the two sizes?

The four-light version is 112 cm / 44.1 in long; the five-light version is 130 cm / 51.2 in. Compare the dimension drawings with your table or island and available ceiling space. Both have a 19 cm / 7.5 in fixture-body height.

Will the stone match the photos, and can I request a pattern?

Each alabaster globe has unique veining and tonal variation. For a particular look, contact us before ordering with reference images. We can discuss available selections, but natural stone cannot be matched exactly to a photograph.

How can I choose the hanging height?

The supplied 50, 30 and 20 cm downrod sections can be used in combinations up to 100 cm / 39.4 in. These are nominal rod lengths; the complete drop also includes the fixture body, canopy and connections. Longer rods and sloped-ceiling mounting are available by request.

Which bulbs fit, and is the chandelier dimmable?

Socket options are E12 or E14; confirm the supplied base and select bulbs for your local voltage. This model is non-dimmable. The stated maximum is 40W; confirm the per-bulb or total-fixture limit before choosing lamps.

Where can it be installed, and how should I clean it?

Use this IP20 fixture in indoor dry locations. Switch it off and let it cool before dusting with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid soaking the alabaster, abrasive products and direct cleaning sprays.

When will my order ship?

Standard preparation typically takes 5–10 days before factory dispatch; transit time is additional. Selected stone patterns, custom rod lengths and sloped-ceiling mounting may need a different schedule, which we will confirm with your request.

Most shades block light and let it out at the edges. Yet, this stone-textured lampshade manages to achieve exactly that.

Translucent properties

Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.

Naturally formed

The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.

Durable and long-lasting

Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.

Light Color Defines the Look

Use warm white (2700K). The stone itself has an off-white, creamy tone; cool light passing through it makes it look grayish and dingy, whereas warm light brings out that honey-like hue seen in the photos.

Clean Only with a Dry Cloth

Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.

It is heavier than it looks.

The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Limitations of resin

Resin is cast in moulds, so the "veining" repeats from one shade to the next and the light passes through evenly with no depth to it. It also ages differently: sitting close to a warm bulb, resin tends to amber and grow brittle within a few years.
