Light changes everything
Discover sculptural lighting designed to bring warmth, character, and atmosphere to every room.
Every linear bar is a singular piece of natural stone
Each linear alabaster pendant light is carved from a single long bar of natural alabaster — a mineral formed over thousands of years of geological sedimentation. The veining, hue, and translucency of every stone bar is unrepeatable, so the warm marbling that drifts across this kitchen island pendant exists nowhere else on earth. These mineral patterns are nature's fingerprints: your alabaster linear chandelier is not merely a dining light, but an irreplicable work of natural stone that belongs to no one else but you.
Warm, even glow across the whole bar — never harsh
What makes alabaster captivating is its rare ability to glow without revealing the source. As light travels the full 31.5″ length of the stone bar, it filters out every trace of glare and softens into a warm, honey-amber wash that falls evenly over a dining table, kitchen island, or bar counter. In an instant the cold edges of an open kitchen or dining room dissolve, replaced by a quiet, inviting glow that draws everyone to the table — the kind of warm modern statement lighting designers reach for again and again.
Hand-carved & hand-polished, never machine-made
Each raw block is studied repeatedly by skilled artisans, then carved and hollowed by hand into a slender, even bar roughly 31.5″ long and just 3.1″ tall. From coarse to fine grit, every linear shade passes through multiple stages of hand-polishing until its surface reveals a matte, silken sheen that catches the light like alabaster should. Suspended on twin slender rods with a discreet ceiling canopy, this natural stone bar pendant is finished entirely by hand — evidence that it was made, not manufactured.
Built to age, not to fade
Natural alabaster carries a remarkable durability and stability. Unlike resin or acrylic, it will not yellow under the warmth of the bulb, nor release any chemical odor as it heats. Paired with solid hand-finished metal rods and canopy, this modern minimalist linear suspension light endures the test of time unfazed. As the years pass, a gentle patina settles into the surface, deepening the bar's character and making each piece feel even more grounded and refined — a true organic-modern dining room centerpiece built to last.

This 31.5″ glowing stone bar is built to anchor a dining table, kitchen island, or bar counter. Here's exactly how high to hang your linear alabaster pendant light for the best warm glow — and where it shines.
The signature placement. Center the linear pendant over the table and hang the bottom 30–36″ above the tabletop. For a long bar like this, align its length with the table's length for a balanced, gallery-like glow.
A modern kitchen island pendant. Hang the bottom 30–36″ above the countertop, centered along the island so the warm light pools evenly over the prep and seating zone.
A sleek glow for a bar counter or peninsula. Keep the bottom 30–34″ above the surface so it lights the counter without blocking sightlines across the room.
A linear statement above a long console or in a wide hallway. Hang at a comfortable head-clearance height (7 ft+ to the bottom) in walkways, centered over the console below.
An even, glare-free linear suspension light for a desk or meeting table. Center it over the surface and hang 32–36″ above the worktop for soft, focused task lighting.
The standard rule assumes an 8 ft ceiling. Add roughly 3″ of hang height per extra foot of ceiling. Ask us about an adjustable or custom drop length if your ceiling is taller.

Natural stone lighting
The Vidir lighting edit
Most shades block light and let it out at the edges. Yet, this stone-textured lampshade manages to achieve exactly that.
Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.
The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.
Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.
Designed for better living
Use warm white (2700K). The stone itself has an off-white, creamy tone; cool light passing through it makes it look grayish and dingy, whereas warm light brings out that honey-like hue seen in the photos.
Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.
The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Our product
Alabaster Cylindrical Chain Chandelier
Alabaster is translucent, so the light travels through the stone rather than escaping at the edges — the whole shade glows, veining and all. Every piece carries a pattern that was decided underground, which is why no two are alike.
Resin is cast in moulds, so the "veining" repeats from one shade to the next and the light passes through evenly with no depth to it. It also ages differently: sitting close to a warm bulb, resin tends to amber and grow brittle within a few years.
