Yes. Every teardrop is gathered molten, inflated by breath and shaped by hand — never pressed cold from a die, and never acrylic. The diamond-cut lattice is pressed in while the glass is still soft, and the colour is worked into the molten batch rather than applied to a finished surface.

 

Yes — and a chain-hung chandelier is the easiest type to do it with. Because the whole fixture hangs from a single point, it stays perfectly level no matter what angle the ceiling above it sits at. Nothing about the tiers needs adjusting.

The one part that has to be dealt with is the canopy where it meets the ceiling. A standard canopy sits flush only on a shallow pitch; anything steeper needs a sloped-ceiling adapter — an angled kit that lets the canopy sit flat against the slope while the chain still hangs plumb. Most are rated to around 45°.

Tell us the pitch of your ceiling before you order and we will confirm whether an adapter is needed and supply one with the fixture. Do not mount the canopy flat against a steep slope without one — it puts the load on one edge of the box.

Check before ordering, not after. A multi-tier glass chandelier is heavier than it looks. Confirm that your junction box is rated for the fixture's weight and that there is structural support above it — a standard box carries far less than most people assume, and the larger sizes may need a brace or a heavier-rated box. An electrician can confirm in minutes. Net and shipping weights are available on request for every size.

Over a dining table, hang the lowest teardrop 30–36 in (75–90 cm) above the tabletop — you can go lower than instinct suggests, because nobody walks underneath. Centre it on the table rather than on the room.

In an entry, hallway or any open area people walk through, keep at least 7 ft (2.1 m) of clearance from the floor. For open rooms generally, allow roughly 2.5–3 in of drop per foot of ceiling height, and add about 3 in per foot above an 8 ft ceiling.

Shortening is done on site by removing links during installation, so the final drop is set in your room rather than fixed at the factory. For a tall stairwell, atrium or double-height entry, tell us your ceiling height before you order and we will supply extra chain and wire with the fixture. It is much easier to add length before shipping than after.

It takes E12 / E14 candelabra-base bulbs of them, depending on the size you choose. LED or Edison style both work. Bulbs are not included.

Dimming depends on the bulb, not the fixture: fit dimmable bulbs on a compatible dimmer circuit and it will dim smoothly. A warm white around 2700K suits this glass best — anything cooler flattens the lattice and drains the warmth out of the blush pink.

For an open room, add the length and width in feet and read the sum as inches — a 12 × 14 ft room points at roughly a 26 in fixture. Over a round table, ignore the room and take two thirds to three quarters of the table diameter. Because the tiers overlap into a solid mass, this design reads larger than it measures — so in a walkway, an entry, or a room under 10 ft, take the smaller size.

No. The bulbs sit behind and above the tiers, so they stay out of sight from any normal viewing angle. Light enters each teardrop and leaves it broken into hundreds of small refractions, which is why the room fills with scattered warmth rather than a single hard source and why there is no hotspot anywhere on the piece. It is an ambient fixture — plan on table lamps or downlights wherever you actually need to see detail.

A soft dry cloth for dust, barely damp for fingerprints, always with the fixture switched off and the bulbs cold. Support each teardrop with one hand while you wipe it. Avoid abrasive pads, solvents and household glass sprays containing ammonia — a cut lattice traps residue.

Every drop is individually wrapped and foam-seated for shipping, with the frame boxed separately. If something arrives damaged, send photographs within 24 hours of delivery and the affected part is replaced. Because each teardrop hooks on independently, a single broken drop does not mean returning the whole chandelier.
