Every stone cylinder is a singular piece of the earth
This alabaster cylindrical chain chandelier is built from cylinders of natural alabaster, each carved from a translucent stone with a soft, jade-like luster formed over thousands of years. No two cylinders share the same veining, hue, or depth — the cloud-like marbling that glows across your natural stone chandelier is nature's own fingerprint. Whether you choose a single pendant or a full cascade, every stone element is an irreplicable work of art that belongs to no one else but you.
Warm 3000K glow, never harsh
What makes alabaster captivating is its rare ability to glow without revealing the source. The integrated LED fills each cylinder with a warm 3000K glow that filters out all glare, and because the stones hang at staggered heights, the light layers into a rich, dimensional wash rather than a flat sheet. In an instant the cold edges of a dining room, kitchen island, or stairwell dissolve into a quiet, healing warmth — the kind of warm ambient cascading light designers prize. With a dimmable bulb, you can dial that glow up or down to suit any moment.
1 to 9 heads, adjustable chains
Unlike a fixed fixture, this adjustable chain chandelier is built around one idea: you decide how much drama your ceiling can hold. Choose from 1 to 9 stone heads in two cylinder sizes, in Black + White or Gold + White, and hang each cylinder from a draped chain you can lengthen or shorten (150 cm / 59″ wire standard, extendable on request). Group them tightly over a table or spread them into a sweeping multi-light swag down a stairwell — the cascading chain design adapts to your space instead of forcing your space to adapt to it.
Built to age, not to fade
Natural alabaster carries a remarkable durability and stability. Unlike resin or faux-stone glass, it will not yellow under the warmth of the bulbs, nor release any chemical odor as it heats — and its genuine, substantial weight is the first sign customers notice that they've received the real thing. Paired with sturdy metal chains and canopy, this organic-modern stone chandelier endures the test of time unfazed. As decades pass, a gentle patina settles into each cylinder, deepening the stone's character and making this sculptural alabaster pendant feel even more grounded and refined.

This alabaster cylindrical chain chandelier is configurable from 1 to 9 stone cylinders. Match the head count to your room and ceiling — then we'll tailor the chain lengths to your exact layout.
Each suspension cable is adjustable, and cable lengths can be extended upon request. You can choose from two cylinder sizes (3.9-inch or 7.9-inch diameters) and two color combinations: "Black & White" or "Gold & White." If you require additional light units or longer cables, please provide details regarding your ceiling height and spatial layout before placing your order; we will assist you in designing the perfect cascading light arrangement.
Configure your light. From a single sculptural pendant to a dramatic 9-light cascade. (Please contact us if you require additional lamp sockets or a longer chain.)
The Alabaster Cylindrical Chain Chandelier is built around one idea: you decide how much drama your ceiling can hold. Choose a single pendant for an intimate glow, or a sweeping 9-head cascade that commands a stairwell or high-ceilinged living room. Each stone cylinder hangs from a draped chain you can lengthen or shorten, so the fixture adapts to your space instead of forcing your space to adapt to it.
Each cylinder is carved from carefully selected natural alabaster—a translucent stone with a soft, jade-like luster. As light passes through, it reveals layered depth and the stone's own one-of-a-kind veining; no two pieces are ever identical. Whether it floats above a long dining table or fills a two-story foyer, this chandelier turns raw stone into a suspended work of art.

View InstallationThis is not one fixture with fixed arms. Every drop has its own ceiling plate and its own chain — so the spacing and the height are two separate decisions, and both of them are made in your room rather than at our workshop.

Across the ceiling
Every pendant screws to its own round plate, and the chain swags from one to the next. Nothing shares a bar, so nothing fixes the distance between them except where you put the screws.
Set them 12″ apart for a tight group over a dining table, or 3 ft apart to run the length of a kitchen island. Line them up straight, stagger them, or scatter them across the ceiling — the fixture does not have an opinion about it.

Down into the room
The chain is made of separate links, so a drop is shortened by removing links — one pendant at a time, with no effect on any of the others. No length is fixed.
That is what makes a cluster look arranged rather than accidental. Step each drop 4–8″ below the last and the group reads as ordered instead of busy. Over a table you can set them all level; on an open ceiling, staggered is almost always better.
Because every chain is adjustable, the same fixture takes on a different character in each room.
2–3 cylinders at even heights in a straight row. Clean and balanced for task light. 2–3 heads.
Cylinders dropped to different heights for layered, atmospheric light. 3–5 heads.
Chains spread wide and deep for dramatic asymmetry that fills vertical volume. 7–9 heads.
Not sure how to wire it, how high to hang it, or whether you need an electrician? Our full guide walks through every step for US homes.
Switch off at the breaker and confirm before you touch any wiring.
Make sure your junction box is standard, secure, and rated for the weight.
Black to black, white to white, ground to ground — the US standard explained.
Mounting heights and clearances for sconces, pendants, and chandeliers.
One shape, three places in a room. Add either of these and the stone reads as a set rather than as separate lamps that happen to match.

Wall mounted · Indoor dry rooms
The same cylinder, turned upright on a wall. Takes no floor and no table — beside a bed, a mirror, or down a hallway where a standing lamp would be in the way. In pairs it frames a bed the way nothing on the floor can.

Table top · Plug in
Cylinders stacked rather than single, sized for a console, a bedside or a desk corner. It plugs in like the floor lamp — so it goes wherever there is a socket, with nothing to wire and nothing to drill.

Natural stone lighting
The Vidir lighting edit
Most shades block light and let it out at the edges. Yet, this stone-textured lampshade manages to achieve exactly that.
Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.
The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.
Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.
Designed for better living
Use warm white (2700K). The stone itself has an off-white, creamy tone; cool light passing through it makes it look grayish and dingy, whereas warm light brings out that honey-like hue seen in the photos.
Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.
The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Alabaster Cylindrical Chain Chandelier
Alabaster is translucent, so the light travels through the stone rather than escaping at the edges — the whole shade glows, veining and all. Every piece carries a pattern that was decided underground, which is why no two are alike.
Resin is cast in moulds, so the "veining" repeats from one shade to the next and the light passes through evenly with no depth to it. It also ages differently: sitting close to a warm bulb, resin tends to amber and grow brittle within a few years.
