Please ensure that the bulbs you purchase are clearly marked as thyristor dimmable. LED light strips can be purchased with thyristor dimmable but do not come with a dimmer.

Before you begin, have the following tools ready: a screwdriver, wire cutters/strippers, voltage tester, a ladder (or sturdy chair), and safety glasses and gloves.

Positioning Your Pendant Light
The height and placement of a pendant light are key to its function and aesthetic appeal.

Kitchen island/countertop: The base of the pendant light should typically be suspended 30-36 inches above the countertop.
Dining table: Approximately 30-34 inches from the tabletop.
General ambient lighting (e.g., hallway): The base of the light fixture should be at least 7 feet from the floor.

The existing electrical box in your ceiling should have a place to attach the pendant light's mounting bracket (or crossbar).

This is the most critical step. Using wire nuts, connect the corresponding wires from the ceiling to the wires on your pendant light.
