Room Installation Tips

1. Above the Sofa

  • Installation Position: It is recommended to install the wall lamp approximately 11.8"-15.7" above the sofa backrest.
  • Height from the Ground: The center point of the wall lamp should be approximately 66.9" to 70.9" above the ground to ensure that the light can illuminate the wall without irritating the seated person.

2. Above the bed

  • Bedside Wall Lamp (Single): It is recommended to install the wall lamp approximately 23.6"-35.4" above the mattress.
  • Double Bedside Wall Lamp: If installing one lamp on each side of the bed, the distance between the two lamps should be 1 to 1.2 meters to provide balanced lighting.
  • Height from the Ground: The center point of the wall lamp should be 59" to 66.9" above the ground. This height generally ensures that the light is not directly in the eyes and is easy to operate the switch.

3. Above the Dining Table

  • Installation Location: If you choose a wall sconce as the primary lighting instead of a pendant, we recommend installing it 27.5" to 35.4" above the dining table.
  • Height from the Ground: Considering the height of the dining table, the center point of the wall sconce should typically be between 1.6 and 1.8 meters above the ground.

4. Above the Entryway Cabinet

  • Entranceway wall sconces provide both basic lighting and decorative effect.
  • Installation Location: Install the wall sconce above the entryway cabinet. The center point should be at or slightly above eye level, approximately between 63" and 66.9".
  • Functional Considerations: This height provides excellent illumination of the entryway area, helps highlight decorative items, and avoids direct sunlight.

Select Suggestion

  • If you're looking for a harmonious and refined balance and your bedroom space is moderate, a 23.6" size is generally a safe and ideal choice.
  • If you want your wall sconce to be a focal point in your bedroom and have ample wall space, a 31.5" size will create a stronger design and visual impact.
  • (You can use a tape measure to measure before installation according to your actual needs and personal preferences to ensure the most satisfactory visual effect.)

Installation Recommendations

  • Optimal 23.6" Mounting Distance: The recommended horizontal distance from the nightstand or bedside to the center of the lamp is 3.9"-7.9".
  • Mounting Height: The bottom of the lamp should be approximately 3.9"-7.9" above the nightstand surface, or about the same height as a table lamp on a nightstand. This provides comfortable reading light without appearing obtrusive.
  • Mounting Advantages: The 23.6" size offers greater flexibility, making it ideal for smaller bedrooms or those with limited headboard width. It provides just the right amount of light without taking up too much visual space, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere.
Room Type Applicability and Functionality
Recommended Mounting Height (from the Floor)
Living Room       Mainly used as auxiliary lighting or decorative accents, these lamps create ambiance and highlight artwork or architectural details. They are often used in conjunction with main lights, spotlights, and other fixtures to create a rich, layered lighting effect. Generally, the recommended height is 66.9″-70.9″. For decorative purposes, this can be adjusted based on the specific design, but ensure that the light does not directly hit your eyes.
Bedroom Bedside wall lamps: These offer soft, non-glare illumination for reading or waking up at night. Wall lamps with swing arms are preferred for easy adjustment of the light direction. The recommended height is approximately 59″ from the floor. Ideally, the bottom of the lampshade should be at eye level when seated to avoid glare.
Hallway/Corridor They provide basic illumination to prevent nighttime falls and also serve as a decorative feature. Choose lamps that project light upward or downward to minimize glare. The recommended height is generally above the head, typically between 86.6″-98.4″ meters. For narrow spaces, choose a non-obtrusive design to avoid collisions.
Dining Room Mounting them near dining tables or above sideboards can highlight the dining area and create a warm and romantic atmosphere. The recommended height is approximately 27.5″-35.4″ cm from the dining table, or a suitable distance from the tabletop to ensure that the light is focused on the table.
Bathroom Select wall lamps that are waterproof and moisture-resistant. These are typically installed on either side of or above a mirror to provide facial illumination, making it convenient for washing and applying makeup. It is recommended to mount the lamp on either side of the mirror, approximately 66.9″-70.9″ meters from the floor, or at eye level.
