Light changes everything
Discover sculptural lighting designed to bring warmth, character, and atmosphere to every room.
The design of the Alabaster Column Spiral Brass Chandelier draws its inspiration from this unique interplay of light and shadow. Each column is crafted from natural alabaster, cut and turned into a slender cylinder—a form so refined that it appears more like a line than a traditional light fixture. The veining of each piece is unique: some display rich, warm honey tones, while others lean toward a creamy white with a soft, elegant texture. Free from printed patterns or artificial inlays, the stone bears the authentic marks of time—a natural beauty we have chosen to preserve without embellishment.
When unlit, these cylinders resemble pale stone rods suspended from the ceiling—possessing an architectural aesthetic that is both understated and refined, allowing them to blend seamlessly into the home environment. Once illuminated, however, they radiate a completely different glow. Light does not merely emanate from the ends; instead, it permeates the alabaster, diffusing into a soft, amber-hued halo that reveals the stone's intricate internal veining. The solid stone is instantly transformed into a source of gentle, luminous light.
No two pieces of stone are ever the same
Alabaster is a natural stone, so every piece carries its own veining and subtle variation in color. The fixture you receive may therefore differ slightly from the images shown.

Alabaster is a natural stone, so every column has its own veining and subtle color variation. The piece you receive will differ slightly from the photos — this is inherent to real stone, not a defect.
Every fixture ships with a 150 cm / 59″ cord that shortens on site. For a tall stairwell or atrium, contact us before ordering and we'll extend it for you.
The LED is integrated, so dimming works through a compatible LED wall dimmer, not by changing bulbs. Contact us before ordering and we'll confirm compatibility with your setup.
Seven configurations, from a single bedside drop to a full-height staircase spiral. Every cord shortens on site.
Hang 30–36″ above the counter.
Keep 7 ft minimum clearance in walkways.
Center over the table, not the room.
The spiral should read from both floors.
Mount over the void, not the treads.
Allow 24″ clearance from wall and rail.
Plan a lift for install and re-lamping.
For stairwells, size by the void, not the room. Measure from the ceiling to the lowest floor the fixture will be seen from, then choose the configuration that fills roughly two-thirds of that drop. This keeps the lowest alabaster column in view from the ground floor while leaving safe head clearance below. Every cord can be shortened on site, so it's always safer to size up than down.
Slim stone columns falling in a slow spiral — built to solve the spaces a single pendant can't.
The columns hang at staggered lengths, so instead of a flat cluster you get a slow spiral falling through the space. Your eye follows it down the way your hand follows the rail — and it looks composed from the landing above and the floor below, not just one angle.
From a single mini pendant over a nightstand to a 15-light staircase spiral, the same design scales to any room. Choose 1, 2, 3, 6, 10, 12, or 15 lights — so a small kitchen and a three-story foyer can share the same language.
Each column hangs on its own 150 cm / 59″ cord that can be shortened during installation — so you set the spiral to your exact ceiling, not the other way round. Need it longer for an atrium? We'll extend it before it ships.
The columns are cut from genuine natural alabaster — light travels inside the stone and comes back out softened, so there's no harsh hotspot, and no two columns share the same veining. The caps and canopy are brushed brass: warm, matte, and it hides fingerprints rather than collecting them. Both keep their character for decades — stone that won't yellow, metal that won't peel.

Natural stone lighting
The Vidir lighting edit
Most shades block light and let it out at the edges. Yet, this stone-textured lampshade manages to achieve exactly that.
Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.
The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.
Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.
Designed for better living
Use warm white (2700K). The stone itself has an off-white, creamy tone; cool light passing through it makes it look grayish and dingy, whereas warm light brings out that honey-like hue seen in the photos.
Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.
The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Our product
Alabaster Cylindrical Chain Chandelier
Alabaster is translucent, so the light travels through the stone rather than escaping at the edges — the whole shade glows, veining and all. Every piece carries a pattern that was decided underground, which is why no two are alike.
Resin is cast in moulds, so the "veining" repeats from one shade to the next and the light passes through evenly with no depth to it. It also ages differently: sitting close to a warm bulb, resin tends to amber and grow brittle within a few years.
THE ART OF ALABASTER
The natural texture of alabaster brings a warm, mineral quality to the space. (Please contact us if you require a specific texture.)
A pure white texture reminiscent of fresh snow—warm, smooth, and refined.
Deep, inky patterns flow across a white base.
A dynamic pattern resembling a bolt of lightning streaking across the sky.
Fine, intricate cracks evoking the aesthetic beauty of a sheet of ice at the moment it shatters.
A pattern as light and airy as falling snowflakes, with every single flake unique.
