— Natural stone, lit from within —
Every stone tube is a singular piece of natural stone
Each alabaster cluster pendant gathers multiple cylindrical shades, every one hand-carved from solid natural alabaster — a mineral formed over thousands of years of geological sedimentation. No two tubes share the same veining, hue, or translucency, so the warm marbling that glows across your multi-light alabaster chandelier exists nowhere else on earth. These mineral patterns are nature's fingerprints: your cluster is not merely a ceiling light, but a constellation of irreplicable natural stone that belongs to no one else but you.
Warm, layered glow — never harsh
What makes alabaster captivating is its rare ability to glow without revealing the source. As light fills each stone tube, it filters out all glare and softens into a warm, honey-amber glow — and because the tubes hang at different heights, the light layers into a rich, dimensional wash rather than a flat sheet. In an instant the cold edges of a dining room, stairwell, or foyer dissolve, replaced by a quiet, inviting glow that designers reach for as a warm statement light.
Adjustable cords, fully modular
Unlike a fixed fixture, this adjustable cord chandelier lets every pendant hang at an independent height — so you can cluster the tubes tightly over a table, or stagger them into a long cascade down a stairwell or double-height foyer. Offered in different head counts, the spider cluster design scales from an intimate group to a dramatic installation, with slim black cords and canopy keeping the focus on the glowing stone. Hand-finished, never mass-manufactured.
Built to age, not to fade
Natural alabaster carries a remarkable durability and stability. Unlike resin or acrylic, it will not yellow under the warmth of the bulbs, nor release any chemical odor as it heats. Paired with solid black metal cords and canopy, this modern alabaster chandelier endures the test of time unfazed. As the years pass, a gentle patina settles into each tube, deepening the stone's character and making the whole organic-modern cluster light feel even more grounded and refined — built to last for decades.

A side-by-side comparison of materials
| Dimension | Natural Alabaster | Resin / Faux Stone Glass |
|---|---|---|
| Touch | Warm and smooth like jade, with the substantial weight of natural stone | Cold or plasticky, lightweight and hollow-feeling |
| Light Transmission | Semi-translucent crystalline interior—light reveals layered depth and dimension | Flat, uniform transparency—light passes through without character or life |
| Durability | A natural mineral that never yellows or fades, even after decades | Ages quickly, may release odors when heated by the light source |
| Uniqueness | Each piece has its own veining—genuinely one of a kind | Mass-produced from molds—every unit looks identical |
This alabaster cluster pendant comes in 1 to 13 lights. Use the guide below to match the head count to your room and ceiling — then we'll tailor the cord lengths to your exact layout.
Each pendant hangs on an independently adjustable cord, so the same fixture can sit as a tidy group over a table — or stagger into a long, flowing cascade down a stairwell. You set the shape at install, and we can pre-cut cord lengths to your ceiling height on request.
Alabaster Cylindrical Chain Chandelier — A height-adjustable multi-light pendant fixture. This composition features multiple hand-carved natural alabaster shades suspended from slender black cords; the height of each pendant can be individually adjusted. When illuminated, the translucent stone emits a warm, soft, honey-hued glow while revealing its unique natural veining. With its flexible, sculptural design, the fixture complements dining tables and kitchen islands just as beautifully as it does soaring stairwells or double-height entryways.
No two pieces of stone are ever the same
Alabaster is a natural stone, so every piece carries its own veining and subtle variation in color. The fixture you receive may therefore differ slightly from the images shown.

Everything in the box, laid out — one canopy and one chain per drop
Look at the photograph again: each pendant has its own canopy, its own chain and its own shade. Nothing shares a plate. That is why the spacing and the heights are yours to set — you screw each canopy where you want it, then shorten each chain to the drop you want.
Materials, sizes and finishes listed exactly as they are — including that every stone shade is a slightly different colour from the next.
Real quarried alabaster, cut and polished — never resin, never printed stone effect. Photographed as it leaves our workshop, not rendered.
Every shade is checked, individually wrapped in protective foam, and boxed separately from the chains and canopies — stone travels better in pieces.

Natural stone lighting
The Vidir lighting edit
Most shades block light and let it out at the edges. Yet, this stone-textured lampshade manages to achieve exactly that.
Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.
The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.
Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.
Designed for better living
Use warm white (2700K). The stone itself has an off-white, creamy tone; cool light passing through it makes it look grayish and dingy, whereas warm light brings out that honey-like hue seen in the photos.
Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.
The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Our product
Alabaster Cylindrical Chain Chandelier
Alabaster is translucent, so the light travels through the stone rather than escaping at the edges — the whole shade glows, veining and all. Every piece carries a pattern that was decided underground, which is why no two are alike.
Resin is cast in moulds, so the "veining" repeats from one shade to the next and the light passes through evenly with no depth to it. It also ages differently: sitting close to a warm bulb, resin tends to amber and grow brittle within a few years.
