I inspected the item carefully upon receipt—these are genuine seashells! They are neatly trimmed and feature natural textures and an irregular, organic beauty. They make a crisp, pleasant sound when they brush against each other; I really love it.

This seashell flush-mount light is perfect! It was packed very securely, so none of the shells were broken. Installation did take a bit of time, as you have to hang the strands of shells individually. The light filtering through the shells is wonderfully warm.
