What is the difference between the two sizes of this candle-style alabaster sconce?

Both sizes are H 18.5 in (47 cm) tall. The narrower version is Ø 3.9 in (10 cm) wide, a slim candle-like profile for tight walls and hallways. The wider version is Ø 9.6 in (24.5 cm), which gives the alabaster shade more presence beside a fireplace or above a sideboard. Each size can also be ordered as a pair using the options marked *2.

Is the shade real alabaster, and is the arm solid brass?

The shade is sculpted from natural white alabaster, and the fixture is made of brass with a warm gold finish. As a natural stone, alabaster has unique texture and subtle color variation in every piece, so your shade may look a little different from our photos. That is a natural feature of the stone, not a quality defect.

Is this alabaster wall lamp dimmable?

No, this wall lamp is not dimmable. It has a push-button switch and takes an E14 bulb, LED or Edison style, up to 60W, on AC 110-240V. Inspired by candlelight, the alabaster shade turns the bulb into a soft, ambient glow with a gentle play of light and shadow, so a warm-toned bulb suits it well.

Where does a pair of these sconces look good?

These sconces work well in pairs flanking a fireplace, along a hallway, beside a bed, or framing a mirror or artwork in a dining room. To order two matching lamps, choose a size marked *2 in the size options, available in both the Ø 3.9 in and Ø 9.6 in widths. They are designed for indoor walls.

How should I clean the alabaster shade and brass?

Turn the lamp off and let it cool first. Wipe the alabaster gently with a soft, dry cloth, and dust the brass the same way. Avoid water, sprays and household cleaners on the stone, because alabaster is soft and porous and can stain or lose its sheen. Regular light dusting keeps the glow even.

01

Nature's Gift

Every lamp is a singular piece of the earth

Alabaster is a natural mineral formed over thousands of years of geological sedimentation. The veining, hue, and translucency of every panel is unrepeatable. The flowing cloud patterns and delicate mineral fissures are nature's fingerprints—each lamp is not merely a lighting fixture, but an irreplicable work of natural art that belongs to no one else but you.

02

A Light That Breathes

Healing warmth, never harsh

What makes alabaster captivating is its exceptional ability to glow without revealing the source. It filters out the glare of raw light and transforms it into a warm, soft, and atmospheric ambiance. In an instant, the cold edges of a room dissolve—replaced by a quiet, healing presence that turns any space into a sanctuary.

03

The Touch of Craftsmanship

Hand-polished, never machine-made

Each raw stone is studied repeatedly by skilled artisans. From coarse to fine grit, it passes through multiple stages of hand-polishing until the surface reveals a matte, silken sheen. Every imperfection is intentional. Every curve is the trace of a craftsman's hand—evidence that this lamp was made, not manufactured.

04

An Heirloom of Time

Built to age, not to fade

Natural alabaster possesses remarkable durability and physical stability. It will not yellow under light, nor emit chemical odors. Its life force endures the test of time—unfazed by years. As decades pass, a subtle patina forms on the surface, deepening its character and making the stone feel even more grounded and refined.

Installing a wall sconce is easier than you might think. It not only provides illumination but also becomes a work of art in your room. This guide will walk you through each step to help you create your ideal space.

Step 1: Safety & Positioning

Gather Your Tools and Prioritize Safety

First, prepare your essential tools: a screwdriver, power drill, voltage tester, a ladder or sturdy chair, safety glasses, and gloves.

（Safety First: Before you start any work, always turn off the power and use a voltage tester to confirm that the line is dead. If you are ever unsure about electrical work, consult a professional.）

Find the Sconce's "Sweet Spot"

The placement and height of a wall sconce are crucial as they determine the effect of the light.

Bedroom: Imagine yourself reading in bed. Wall sconces should be mounted on either side of the bed, approximately 60-70 inches off the floor. This provides enough light to illuminate your book without causing glare.

Living Room: Wall sconces are often used for supplemental lighting. They should be mounted at eye level (about 65-70 inches when standing), making them suitable for placement on either side of a sofa, next to a TV wall, or to highlight a piece of art.

Step 2: Install the Light

1. Mount the Bracket

Align the included mounting bracket with the wall. Use a screwdriver or power drill to firmly secure the bracket to the wall. Give it a gentle pull to ensure it is secure and doesn't wobble.

2. Connect the Wires

Next, connect the wires. Make sure all connections are secure and no bare wires are exposed.

3. Install the Wall Sconce

Carefully attach the wired wall sconce to the bracket. Tighten the screws securely, ensuring the light does not tilt or wobble.

Once these steps are complete, you can turn the power back on and enjoy the warm ambiance of your new wall sconce!

Common Installation Questions

How do I wire a wall sconce?

The hot wire (L) connects to the brown or red wire, the neutral wire (N) connects to the blue or black wire, and the ground wire (E) connects to the yellow-green wire. If the sconce you purchased does not have a ground wire, be sure to connect the other two wires correctly according to the manual.

How can I avoid damaging the wall during installation?

Before drilling, please mark the drilling location. This can reduce damage to the wall. When drilling, apply force evenly and avoid excessive force.

What if the light doesn't turn on?

Check the power: Make sure the main circuit breaker and the switch for the light are both on.

Check the bulb: Unscrew the LED and bulb and check for signs of burnout. Try replacing it to see if that fixes the problem.

Check the wiring: Double-check that the wire connections are secure and not loose.

Seek professional help: If none of these steps work, there may be an issue with the light fixture or the wiring itself. It's best to have a professional electrician inspect it.
