Curator LED Picture LightA private gallery, lit after hours
The Curator LED Picture Light is an adjustable linear wall sconce that brings museum-style lighting home, washing your artwork, mirror or bookshelf in a warm 3000K glow from a slim integrated LED bar that tilts up and down.
The Story
Think of a small museum after closing time. The visitors have gone home, the ceiling lights are off, and one slender lamp still glows above a favorite painting, drawing out every brushstroke and every detail of the frame. The Curator brings that quiet, after-hours feeling into your own living room, hallway or study.
The Craft
A round backplate with fine concentric rings anchors it to the wall. A short arm leads to an adjustable knuckle joint with a small wing screw, so you can tilt the light bar up or down and lock it at the angle you like. The finish comes in Gold, Brushed Nickel or Black to match your frames and hardware.
The Light
Beneath the bar, a long polycarbonate diffuser spreads the light evenly from end to end, with no hot spots and no visible bulbs. The warm 3000K glow brings out the depth of oil paint, the grain of a wood frame and natural skin tones in a mirror, and the LED is built in, so there is nothing to replace.
It does not compete with your art. It simply lets it be seen.VIDIR LIGHTING
Light Studio · Tilts Up & Down
Aim the light, set the mood
The knuckle joint lets the light bar tilt up and down, so one fixture can wash a whole canvas, light a mirror evenly or cast a soft glow onto the wall. Tap the options below to try it.
Tilt Up or Down
Tilted up, the bar throws a soft glow onto the wall above, a calm accent light for evenings and bedside corners.
Kept level, the light forms an even band, ideal over a mirror, a bookshelf or a display niche.
Tilted down, the light falls across the whole canvas, the classic gallery look for paintings and prints.
Finish
Push-Button Switch
Illustration only. Actual light spread depends on frame size and mounting height.
Artwork & Prints
Angle the bar down so the light sweeps across the canvas from top to bottom, not just the top edge of the frame.
Mirrors & Shelves
Keep the bar level for an even band of light over a hallway mirror, a bookshelf or a display niche.
Soft Wall Glow
Tilt the bar up to throw a gentle glow onto the wall above, a calm accent light for evenings and bedside corners.
Size
Compact, made for everyday frames
One size that suits most framed art, mirrors and shelves in a home. Hang two side by side for wider pieces.
The frame-size rule
A picture light usually suits a frame about twice its own length. At 25 cm (9.8″), the Curator is a natural fit for frames up to about 50 cm (20″) wide.
For wider canvases, hang two lights side by side. For mirrors, choose one roughly two to three times the width of the light.
Mounting tip
Center the light above your artwork with the bar a few inches over the top edge of the frame, then tilt it down until the canvas is evenly lit. Over a mirror, keep it level for soft, even light.
