Pure
A pure white texture reminiscent of fresh snow—warm, smooth, and refined.
— Crafted from natural alabaster, illuminated by warm light —
Every alabaster shade is one of a kind
The mushroom dome of this alabaster table lamp is cut from genuine natural alabaster — a translucent stone formed over thousands of years. No two shades share the same veining, hue, or translucency, so the warm marbling that glows across your alabaster lighting exists nowhere else on earth. It's not resin, not faux stone, not plastic — it's a genuine piece of the earth, and it belongs to no one else but you.
Warm, soft, never harsh
What makes alabaster captivating is its rare ability to glow without revealing the source. As light fills the stone dome, it filters out all glare and softens into a warm, honey-amber glow. In an instant a bedroom, living room, or desk settles into a quiet, inviting calm — exactly the atmospheric quality designers reach for in a fine natural stone table lamp, and a glow no printed resin shade can imitate.
A design statement day and night
The organic mushroom silhouette — a soft stone dome resting on a slim, glossy black base — is a sculptural statement whether the lamp is lit or not. By day it reads as a quiet objet on your shelf or console; by night the stone glows from within. This is what makes a mushroom lamp so beloved: it's functional light and sculptural art in one, and the high-contrast pairing of pale stone and dark base feels effortlessly modern.
Built to age, not to fade
Natural alabaster has been treasured for centuries for one reason: it endures. Unlike a resin or faux-stone shade that yellows and grows brittle under the warmth of the bulb, natural stone keeps its color and character for decades. Its genuine, substantial weight is the first thing customers notice that tells them they've received the real thing. As the years pass, this natural stone accent lamp only deepens in character — an heirloom, not a trend.

Natural stone lighting
The Vidir lighting edit
Most shades block light and let it out at the edges. Yet, this stone-textured lampshade manages to achieve exactly that.
Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.
The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.
Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.
Designed for better living
Use warm white (2700K). The stone itself has an off-white, creamy tone; cool light passing through it makes it look grayish and dingy, whereas warm light brings out that honey-like hue seen in the photos.
Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.
The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Alabaster Cylindrical Chain Chandelier
Alabaster is translucent, so the light travels through the stone rather than escaping at the edges — the whole shade glows, veining and all. Every piece carries a pattern that was decided underground, which is why no two are alike.
Resin is cast in moulds, so the "veining" repeats from one shade to the next and the light passes through evenly with no depth to it. It also ages differently: sitting close to a warm bulb, resin tends to amber and grow brittle within a few years.
