Nature's Gift

Every lamp is a singular piece of the earth

Alabaster is a natural mineral formed over thousands of years of geological sedimentation. The veining, hue, and translucency of every panel is unrepeatable. The flowing cloud patterns and delicate mineral fissures are nature's fingerprints—each lamp is not merely a lighting fixture, but an irreplicable work of natural art that belongs to no one else but you.

A Light That Breathes

Healing warmth, never harsh

What makes alabaster captivating is its exceptional ability to glow without revealing the source. It filters out the glare of raw light and transforms it into a warm, soft, and atmospheric ambiance. In an instant, the cold edges of a room dissolve—replaced by a quiet, healing presence that turns any space into a sanctuary.

The Touch of Craftsmanship

Hand-polished, never machine-made

Each raw stone is studied repeatedly by skilled artisans. From coarse to fine grit, it passes through multiple stages of hand-polishing until the surface reveals a matte, silken sheen. Every imperfection is intentional. Every curve is the trace of a craftsman's hand—evidence that this lamp was made, not manufactured.

An Heirloom of Time

Built to age, not to fade

Natural alabaster possesses remarkable durability and physical stability. It will not yellow under light, nor emit chemical odors. Its life force endures the test of time—unfazed by years. As decades pass, a subtle patina forms on the surface, deepening its character and making the stone feel even more grounded and refined.

Built Right, Inside and Out

The beauty of a fixture is easy to photograph. What matters just as much is what sits inside the canopy—the driver, the bracket, the wiring, the hardware in the box. Here is how we build for safety and longevity, so the fixture you order arrives ready to install and made to last.

Install the driver, bracket and other components - Vidirlighting

01 · The Driver

An LED Driver Built to Last

We offer integrated LED drivers in a range of styles—dimmable, constant-current, and color-temperature-adjustable—so the fixture can be matched to how you actually light the room. It runs on 110–240V, works straight out of the box on standard US household power, and is rated for both dry and damp locations, so it fits wherever you'd like to install it.

02 · The Bracket

A Solid Mounting Bracket

Every fixture ships with a sturdy mounting bracket sized to a standard US junction box—so it hangs true and stays secure, year after year. No improvising, no trips to the hardware store.

03 · The Box

Everything You Need, in One Box

Open the carton and it's all there—canopy, mounting plate and bracket, screws and wall anchors, the driver, and a pair of clean cotton gloves for handling the glass. Nothing missing, nothing to source separately. It's the small stuff, packed with care, that makes installation day feel easy.

04 · The Wiring

Clean, Color-Coded Wiring

Clearly labeled leads and a tidy factory harness make professional installation quick and unambiguous. Hand it to your electrician and they'll have it up in minutes—standard L / N / E hardwiring, the way a considered fixture should be.

Order with confidence: what arrives at your door is a fixture built to be lived with—considered on the inside, finished on the outside. Wiring should be carried out by a qualified electrician in line with local code.

Customer Reviews

Questions about this light

Is the Petra Alabaster Wall Lamp real alabaster, and will it look exactly like the photos?

Yes, the alabaster on this light is natural stone. Because every block of stone is different, the veining, cloudiness and warmth of tone vary from piece to piece, so the one you receive will not match the photos exactly. Natural variation is the sign of real stone, not a defect.

Can I use the Petra Alabaster Wall Lamp in a bathroom?

It is made for indoor use and no IP (water-resistance) rating is listed, so we don't recommend it near a shower or tub or in other damp spaces. It is a good fit for powder rooms with good ventilation, bedrooms, living and dining areas.

How do I clean the alabaster on the Petra Alabaster Wall Lamp?

Turn the light off and let it cool. Dust the stone with a dry, soft microfiber cloth or a soft brush. Avoid water, sprays and household cleaners: alabaster is porous, and liquids can leave marks or dull the surface. For the metal parts, a dry or barely damp cloth is enough.

What kind of light does the Petra Alabaster Wall Lamp give, and can it be dimmed?

The description lists 3000K light. It is not dimmable. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to replace.

Which size of the Petra Alabaster Wall Lamp should I choose?

It comes in these sizes: Dia 20cm / ∅ 7.8″; 3 heads L 40cm x W13cm x H 9cm / L 15.7″ x W 5.1″ x H 3.5″; 5 heads L 46cm x W13cm x H 9cm / L 18.1″ x W 5.1″ H 3.5″; 7 heads L 64cm x W13cm x H 9cm / L 25.1″ x W 5.1″x H 3.5″; Dia 20cm / ∅ 7.8″ (set of 2); 3 heads L 40cm x W13cm x H 9cm / L 15.7″ x W 5.1″ x H 3.5″ (set of 2) (and more). Pick the size that suits the scale of the room and the furniture beneath it. Wall sconces are usually mounted with the center about 60–72 in (152–183 cm) above the floor; beside a bed, a little above shoulder height when sitting up.

Installing a wall sconce is easier than you might think. It not only provides illumination but also becomes a work of art in your room. This guide will walk you through each step to help you create your ideal space.

Step 1: Safety & Positioning

Gather Your Tools and Prioritize Safety

First, prepare your essential tools: a screwdriver, power drill, voltage tester, a ladder or sturdy chair, safety glasses, and gloves.

（Safety First: Before you start any work, always turn off the power and use a voltage tester to confirm that the line is dead. If you are ever unsure about electrical work, consult a professional.）

Find the Sconce's "Sweet Spot"

The placement and height of a wall sconce are crucial as they determine the effect of the light.

Bedroom: Imagine yourself reading in bed. Wall sconces should be mounted on either side of the bed, approximately 60-70 inches off the floor. This provides enough light to illuminate your book without causing glare.

Living Room: Wall sconces are often used for supplemental lighting. They should be mounted at eye level (about 65-70 inches when standing), making them suitable for placement on either side of a sofa, next to a TV wall, or to highlight a piece of art.

Step 2: Install the Light

1. Mount the Bracket

Align the included mounting bracket with the wall. Use a screwdriver or power drill to firmly secure the bracket to the wall. Give it a gentle pull to ensure it is secure and doesn't wobble.

2. Connect the Wires

Next, connect the wires. Make sure all connections are secure and no bare wires are exposed.

3. Install the Wall Sconce

Carefully attach the wired wall sconce to the bracket. Tighten the screws securely, ensuring the light does not tilt or wobble.

Once these steps are complete, you can turn the power back on and enjoy the warm ambiance of your new wall sconce!

Common Installation Questions

How do I wire a wall sconce?

The hot wire (L) connects to the brown or red wire, the neutral wire (N) connects to the blue or black wire, and the ground wire (E) connects to the yellow-green wire. If the sconce you purchased does not have a ground wire, be sure to connect the other two wires correctly according to the manual.

How can I avoid damaging the wall during installation?

Before drilling, please mark the drilling location. This can reduce damage to the wall. When drilling, apply force evenly and avoid excessive force.

What if the light doesn't turn on?

Check the power: Make sure the main circuit breaker and the switch for the light are both on.

Check the bulb: Unscrew the LED and bulb and check for signs of burnout. Try replacing it to see if that fixes the problem.

Check the wiring: Double-check that the wire connections are secure and not loose.

Seek professional help: If none of these steps work, there may be an issue with the light fixture or the wiring itself. It's best to have a professional electrician inspect it.
