A new perspective
Light changes everything
Discover sculptural lighting designed to bring warmth, character, and atmosphere to every room.
Every lamp is a singular piece of natural stone
Both the shade and the base of this alabaster table lamp are hand-carved from solid natural alabaster — a mineral formed over thousands of years of geological sedimentation. The veining, hue, and translucency of every natural stone table lamp is unrepeatable, so the warm marbling that drifts through the stone exists nowhere else on earth. These mineral patterns are nature's fingerprints: your sculptural alabaster lamp is not merely a light, but an irreplicable work of natural stone that belongs to no one else but you.
Warm, healing ambient glow — never harsh
What makes alabaster captivating is its rare ability to glow without revealing the source. As light passes through both the stone shade and the carved body, it filters out all glare and softens into a warm, honey-amber ambiance that pools gently across a bedside nightstand, living-room console, or office desk. In an instant the cold edges of a bedroom dissolve, replaced by a quiet, restful glow — exactly the kind of warm accent lamp designers layer in for cozy evenings and reading corners.
Hand-carved ribbed base, never machine-made
Each raw block is studied repeatedly by skilled artisans, then carved by hand into a ribbed, wave-like base roughly 9.8″ tall, paired with a wide stone shade for a soft mushroom silhouette. From coarse to fine grit, every surface passes through multiple stages of hand-polishing until it reveals a matte, silken sheen, finished with a warm brass detail at the neck. Every groove and curve of this carved alabaster lamp is the trace of a craftsman's hand — evidence that it was made, not manufactured.
Built to age, not to fade
Natural alabaster carries a remarkable durability and stability. Unlike resin or acrylic, it will not yellow under the warmth of the bulb, nor release any chemical odor as it heats. With its solid stone shade and weighted carved base, this organic-modern table lamp endures the test of time unfazed. As the years pass, a gentle patina settles into the surface, deepening the lamp's character and making each piece feel even more grounded and refined — a true sculptural stone accent lamp built to last for decades.

A side-by-side comparison of materials
| Dimension | Natural Alabaster | Resin / Faux Stone Glass |
|---|---|---|
| Touch | Warm and smooth like jade, with the substantial weight of natural stone | Cold or plasticky, lightweight and hollow-feeling |
| Light Transmission | Semi-translucent crystalline interior—light reveals layered depth and dimension | Flat, uniform transparency—light passes through without character or life |
| Durability | A natural mineral that never yellows or fades, even after decades | Ages quickly, may release odors when heated by the light source |
| Uniqueness | Each piece has its own veining—genuinely one of a kind | Mass-produced from molds—every unit looks identical |

This 9.8″ sculptural stone lamp is plug-in and ready to glow — no wiring needed. Here's how to size and place your alabaster table lamp for the warmest, most balanced light on a nightstand, console, or desk.
The signature spot. This alabaster bedside lamp gives a soft, glare-free glow for winding down. Aim for the shade roughly at seated shoulder-to-eye level in bed — a 9.8″ lamp suits a 24–28″ nightstand.
A sculptural accent lamp for a sofa table or entry console. Place a single lamp off-center beside décor, or a matching pair at each end for a symmetrical, layered-lighting look.
A warm desk lamp that softens screen glare in the evening. Set it to one side of the work surface so the stone glow lights the space without shining into your eyes.
A tactile finishing touch on a bedroom dresser, bookshelf, or media unit. Its mushroom silhouette reads as a small sculpture even when switched off.
Use this lamp as the warm low-level layer alongside overhead or floor lighting. A 2700K bulb on a smart plug or dimmer lets you shift from bright task light to soft ambient glow.
Twin lamps flanking a bed or console create instant balance and symmetry. Because each natural alabaster lamp has unique veining, a pair feels coordinated yet never identical.

Natural stone lighting
The Vidir lighting edit
Most shades block light and let it out at the edges. Yet, this stone-textured lampshade manages to achieve exactly that.
Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.
The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.
Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.
Designed for better living
Use warm white (2700K). The stone itself has an off-white, creamy tone; cool light passing through it makes it look grayish and dingy, whereas warm light brings out that honey-like hue seen in the photos.
Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.
The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Our product
Alabaster Cylindrical Chain Chandelier
Alabaster is translucent, so the light travels through the stone rather than escaping at the edges — the whole shade glows, veining and all. Every piece carries a pattern that was decided underground, which is why no two are alike.
Resin is cast in moulds, so the "veining" repeats from one shade to the next and the light passes through evenly with no depth to it. It also ages differently: sitting close to a warm bulb, resin tends to amber and grow brittle within a few years.
THE ART OF ALABASTER
The natural texture of alabaster brings a warm, mineral quality to the space. (Please contact us if you require a specific texture.)
A pure white texture reminiscent of fresh snow—warm, smooth, and refined.
Deep, inky patterns flow across a white base.
A dynamic pattern resembling a bolt of lightning streaking across the sky.
Fine, intricate cracks evoking the aesthetic beauty of a sheet of ice at the moment it shatters.
A pattern as light and airy as falling snowflakes, with every single flake unique.
