Alabaster Orb Asteria Brass Wall Sconce, Transform a bare wall into a serene pillar of light.Along a slender metal stem, hand-carved natural alabaster orbs are staggered like glowing beads on a stalk — each one lit from within, each one veined a little differently. Where most sconces sit flat and forgettable, the Asteria reads like a piece of vertical sculpture that happens to give off a warm, honeyed glow.
Built on a long, minimal stem, the sconce is designed for the tall, narrow spaces most fixtures ignore: framing an entry, climbing a stairwell, or standing sentry beside a bed. It arrives in four finishes to sit with your palette — brass, nickel, black, and antique brass — so the same architectural silhouette can read warm and gilded or cool and modern.
No two pieces of stone are ever the same
Alabaster is a natural stone, so every piece carries its own veining and subtle variation in color. The fixture you receive may therefore differ slightly from the images shown.

Select the size marked (*2) — two together come at a better price than buying them separately.

This sconce comes in 3-, 4-, 6-, and 7-orb versions. The 3-orb stands 50 cm / 19.7″; the 4-, 6-, and 7-orb versions share the same 100 cm / 39.4″ stem and differ in how many orbs light the wall and how they're spaced — pick the fullness that suits your wall, from a bedside accent to a full stairwell run.
The sconce takes standard G4 bulbs; we recommend warm-white G4 LEDs for the softest glow through the alabaster. It hardwires to a standard wall switch — switch not included.
Five configurations, from a compact 3-orb bedside accent to a full-height 7-orb wall run. Two 7-orb layouts let you tune the spacing to your wall.
Mount at eye level beside a bed or mirror.

Four orbs, spaced airy down a 39.4″ stem — the lightest of the tall layouts.

Six orbs on the same 39.4″ stem — a fuller, more luminous column than the 4-orb.

Seven orbs grouped lower — a dense, concentrated cluster of light.

Same count — a more open, balanced spacing.

For a single wall, size by the run of empty space you want to fill. The 3-orb (19.7″) suits a bedside or powder room; the 39.4″ versions carry a taller wall, hallway, or stairwell. Both 7-orb versions share the same footprint — A groups the orbs lower for a denser cluster, B spaces them more evenly for an airier look. When in doubt on a tall wall, the fuller 6- or 7-orb layouts read best from across the room.
One slender stem. A few glowing stones.
The Alabaster Orb Asteria Brass Wall Sconce began with a simple gesture: a single vertical line, punctuated by light. Along one slim metal stem, hand-carved alabaster orbs are set off-center and staggered — like beads strung down a stalk, each one lit softly from within. There is no shade, no ornament, no clutter. Just the stem, the stone, and the glow.
That off-set rhythm is what gives its quiet drama. Instead of a symmetrical row, the orbs step down the wall in an easy, unhurried cadence — drawing the eye upward and making a tall, empty wall feel intentional. Lit, each stone turns to a warm amber bead and casts a low wash of light across the surface behind it; unlit, they rest as pale ivory spheres against the metal, sculptural even in daylight.
A slim vertical stem set with glowing alabaster orbs — designed to bring warmth to the empty walls a single fixture can't reach.
The orbs are staggered down a slender stem, so instead of one flat glow you get a column of light that draws the eye upward. Each stone lights softly from within — light spreads through the alabaster and comes back warm with no harsh hotspot, turning a tall bedside, hallway, or stairwell wall into something considered.
From a compact 3-orb bedside accent (19.7″) to a full-height 7-orb wall run (39.4″), the same design scales to your space — with two 7-orb layouts to tune the spacing. Buy a single sconce, or select the ×2 pair option at a better price to flank a bed, mirror, or doorway.
Every orb is carved from genuine natural alabaster — never resin or faux stone — so no two share the same veining, and the piece reads as pale sculpture even switched off. The metal comes in four finishes — brass, nickel, black, and antique brass: warm or matte tones that hide fingerprints. Both stone and brass keep their character for decades — alabaster won't yellow with the years.

Natural stone lighting
The Vidir lighting edit
Most shades block light and let it out at the edges. Yet, this stone-textured lampshade manages to achieve exactly that.
Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.
The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.
Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.
Designed for better living
Use warm white (2700K). The stone itself has an off-white, creamy tone; cool light passing through it makes it look grayish and dingy, whereas warm light brings out that honey-like hue seen in the photos.
Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.
The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Our product
Alabaster Cylindrical Chain Chandelier
Alabaster is translucent, so the light travels through the stone rather than escaping at the edges — the whole shade glows, veining and all. Every piece carries a pattern that was decided underground, which is why no two are alike.
Resin is cast in moulds, so the "veining" repeats from one shade to the next and the light passes through evenly with no depth to it. It also ages differently: sitting close to a warm bulb, resin tends to amber and grow brittle within a few years.
THE ART OF ALABASTER
The natural texture of alabaster brings a warm, mineral quality to the space. (Please contact us if you require a specific texture.)
A pure white texture reminiscent of fresh snow—warm, smooth, and refined.
Deep, inky patterns flow across a white base.
A dynamic pattern resembling a bolt of lightning streaking across the sky.
Fine, intricate cracks evoking the aesthetic beauty of a sheet of ice at the moment it shatters.
A pattern as light and airy as falling snowflakes, with every single flake unique.
