A new perspective
Light changes everything
Discover sculptural lighting designed to bring warmth, character, and atmosphere to every room.
The Alabaster Double Layer Round Wall Lamp originated from a simple idea: what if wall lamps were no longer just cold, impersonal light fixtures, but rather gifts from nature? Multiple overlapping discs of genuine natural stone, framed in warm metal, give you exactly that—an object that reads as quiet sculpture by day, and glows from within by night.
A pattern only nature could draw. Each disc is crafted from natural alabaster—upon close inspection, you'll discover cloud-like natural textures running through the stone's grain and delicate mineral patterns. When illuminated, the light is soft and soothing. Unlike most wall lamps whose bulbs shine directly into the eyes, this one allows light to penetrate the layers of alabaster, diffuse through the stone, and transform into a warm, honey-like halo that gently spreads across the wall. It can transform a bedroom, hallway, or reading nook into a comfortable space where you can't help but want to linger and relax.
No two pieces of stone are ever the same
Alabaster is a natural stone, so every piece carries its own veining and subtle variation in color. The fixture you receive may therefore differ slightly from the images shown.

Select the size marked (*2) — two together come at a better price than buying them separately.
Real stone, a solid metal frame, and genuine hand-finishing you can see — nothing hidden, nothing faked.
Each layer is cut from genuine natural alabaster — not resin or printed glass. The veining runs right through the stone, and no two discs are ever alike.
The discs are held by a solid metal frame and backplate that mounts flush to a standard wall box — steady on the wall for years, with no flex or rattle, in a warm finish that frames the stone.
Every disc is hand-cut and hand-polished, not machine-stamped — worked from coarse to fine until the surface turns smooth and silken. The solid thickness is why the glow comes back warm and layered, not thin and flat.
— Real stone. Real frame. Made by hand. Nothing to hide. —

Select the size marked (*2) — two together come at a better price than buying them separately. This sconce looks especially elegant mounted in twos, flanking a bed, mirror, or doorway.
It takes a standard E12 or E14 bulb (Max 40W), so you can fit an LED or a vintage Edison bulb to suit your look. For the warmest glow through the stone, we suggest a warm-white bulb around 2700–3000K. Controlled by a push-button switch (not dimmable).

Two layered discs of natural stone — sculptural when off, softly glowing when on.
The double-layer disc design lets light spread through and around the stone rather than glaring straight out — casting a gentle halo on the wall. There's no harsh bright spot to catch your eye, just a warm, calming glow that makes a bedroom, hallway, or reading nook feel instantly cozy.
Two overlapping stone discs give the piece real depth instead of a flat face — one layer catches the light while the other holds a soft shadow. It reads as a considered, architectural object on the wall, not just another round sconce.
The discs are cut from genuine natural alabaster — never resin or faux stone — so no two share the same veining, framed by a warm copper body. Switched off, it reads as a pale stone sculpture on the wall; switched on, it glows from within. It earns its place lit or unlit, and natural stone that won't yellow with the years.

Nothing to prove. Nothing to add.
You reach out and flip the switch. The bright overhead light goes out, and the room’s interplay of light and shadow recedes, leaving only a warm halo of light on the wall. Overlapping, rounded stone-like forms—radiating light from within—resemble a small, luminous moon hanging low. The edges of these forms soften into a glowing ring, transforming the room’s atmosphere into one of gentle tranquility.
Look closer and there's no trick to it. Each disc is cut from a solid block of genuine natural alabaster and polished by hand, so the cloud-like veining runs right through the stone. Because it's real, no two lamps are ever the same — the piece on your wall exists nowhere else in the world.
By day it asks for nothing: two pale stone circles, resting on the wall like a small piece of sculpture. By night it becomes the reason the room feels calm — the kind of warm, low light you sink into after a long day, beside a bed, along a hallway, or framing a mirror. Not a lamp you notice. A feeling you come home to.
What real stone gives you that glass, resin, and acrylic sconces can't.

Natural stone lighting
The Vidir lighting edit
Most shades block light and let it out at the edges. Yet, this stone-textured lampshade manages to achieve exactly that.
Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.
The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.
Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.
Designed for better living
Use warm white (2700K). The stone itself has an off-white, creamy tone; cool light passing through it makes it look grayish and dingy, whereas warm light brings out that honey-like hue seen in the photos.
Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.
The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Alabaster Cylindrical Chain Chandelier
Alabaster is translucent, so the light travels through the stone rather than escaping at the edges — the whole shade glows, veining and all. Every piece carries a pattern that was decided underground, which is why no two are alike.
Resin is cast in moulds, so the "veining" repeats from one shade to the next and the light passes through evenly with no depth to it. It also ages differently: sitting close to a warm bulb, resin tends to amber and grow brittle within a few years.
THE ART OF ALABASTER
The natural texture of alabaster brings a warm, mineral quality to the space. (Please contact us if you require a specific texture.)
