A new perspective
Light changes everything
Discover sculptural lighting designed to bring warmth, character, and atmosphere to every room.
The Corvale Leather-Wrapped Alabaster Globe Wall Sconce brings together a natural alabaster globe and a stitched leather arm, finished with a braided seam, a studded band and gold-finish caps.
Some things get better the longer you live with them: a leather armchair that softens over the years, a stone mantel that holds the warmth of a fire. Corvale was made in that spirit. Stone that glows and leather that ages mean it looks right on day one and even better years from now.
When the light is on, the alabaster does more than reflect light. It carries it, turning the whole globe into a soft amber orb with natural veining you can see.
Light you notice for its warmth, not its brightness.
That is why Corvale works best where comfort matters most: beside the bed for evening reading, flanking a mirror, lining a hallway, or adding a pool of quiet light to a library, study or powder room.
Before falling in love with the materials, make sure it fits your wall. Corvale comes in one size, slim enough for narrow spaces and tall enough to read as a statement.

48 cm / 18.9"

Tip: mark the outline with painter's tape at your planned height before installing, so you can check the proportions against your bed, mirror or doorway.
The globe is the heart of Corvale. Here is what makes alabaster different from glass, resin or acrylic shades, and what to expect from real stone.
Alabaster is a fine-grained, naturally translucent mineral stone. Carved into a sphere, it lets light pass through its body and scatters it evenly, so the glow feels soft and diffused rather than sharp.
Off, the globe reads as a soft milky white. On, the stone filters the light into a warmer cream-to-amber tone, which is why alabaster lighting is so flattering in bedrooms and living spaces.
Alabaster is a soft, slightly porous stone. Dust it with a dry, soft cloth and keep it away from water and cleaning sprays, and it will keep its glow for years.
Every Corvale globe is cut from natural alabaster, so its veining is entirely its own. Nature decides where each vein runs, how warm the tone is and how much light passes through.

Pale stone with gentle, misty drifts. Calm and even when lit.
Stronger, warmer streaks that come alive with a dramatic glow.
A brighter near-white stone with fine, delicate lines.
Tell us the look you like before your order is prepared, and we will select stone to match it as closely as possible. As every piece is natural, the final pattern will always be unique.
The stone stays the same; the leather sets the mood. Both colors come with gold-finish caps and studs and a white alabaster globe.
Warm and saddle-toned. Pairs naturally with walnut, oak, linen and limewashed or plaster walls.
Crisp and modern. A sharp contrast against pale plaster, stone or white paneling.
The leather is wrapped tightly around the arm and closed with a braided center stitch, the same kind of finishing you see on fine bags and saddlery. A separate studded band, edged with gold-finish rings, marks the point where the arm meets the round wall plate.
Like any good leather, it gains a gentle patina with time and touch, so the sconce grows more characterful the longer it hangs on your wall.
A natural alabaster globe gives a warm, candle-like glow that frosted glass cannot copy.
A braided seam runs the full length of the arm, finished with a studded leather band.
At 12 cm wide and 48 cm tall, it fits beside beds, mirrors and narrow hallways.
Stone keeps its glow and leather gains patina, so it looks better with every year.

No, the bulb is not included. The sconce takes one G9 bulb, up to 40W.
A G9 LED bulb in warm white (2700K–3000K) suits alabaster best. LEDs run cooler than halogen and bring out the stone's amber tone.
Corvale is designed for soft ambient and accent light rather than as a main light. Final brightness depends on the lumen rating of the bulb you choose.
Yes, the globe is carved from natural alabaster. Veining, tone and small inclusions vary from piece to piece and are not defects.
The overall look will match, but every stone has its own veining pattern. When lit, all globes glow a warm cream to amber.
Dust it with a soft, dry cloth. Alabaster is soft and porous, so avoid water, sprays and chemical cleaners.
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from moisture and direct heat. The leather will develop a natural patina over time.
Wall sconces are typically mounted with the center about 60–66 in (152–168 cm) from the floor. Beside a bed, around 24–30 in above the mattress works well for reading.
When framing a mirror, place the sconces just outside its edges, usually 28–40 in apart. Beside a bed, center each one over its nightstand.
It is rated IP20 for dry indoor locations, so it suits a powder room but not showers or splash zones.
A push-button switch on the fixture turns it on and off.
Yes, it runs on AC 110–240V, which covers standard US household power.
We recommend having a licensed electrician install it to meet local electrical codes.
It ships from our factory after 5 to 10 days of preparation.

Natural stone lighting
The Vidir lighting edit
Most shades block light and let it out at the edges. Yet, this stone-textured lampshade manages to achieve exactly that.
Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.
The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.
Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.
Designed for better living
Use warm white (2700K). The stone itself has an off-white, creamy tone; cool light passing through it makes it look grayish and dingy, whereas warm light brings out that honey-like hue seen in the photos.
Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.
The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Alabaster Cylindrical Chain Chandelier
Alabaster is translucent, so the light travels through the stone rather than escaping at the edges — the whole shade glows, veining and all. Every piece carries a pattern that was decided underground, which is why no two are alike.
Resin is cast in moulds, so the "veining" repeats from one shade to the next and the light passes through evenly with no depth to it. It also ages differently: sitting close to a warm bulb, resin tends to amber and grow brittle within a few years.
THE ART OF ALABASTER
The natural texture of alabaster brings a warm, mineral quality to the space. (Please contact us if you require a specific texture.)
A pure white texture reminiscent of fresh snow—warm, smooth, and refined.
Deep, inky patterns flow across a white base.
A dynamic pattern resembling a bolt of lightning streaking across the sky.
Fine, intricate cracks evoking the aesthetic beauty of a sheet of ice at the moment it shatters.
A pattern as light and airy as falling snowflakes, with every single flake unique.
Material · Method · Light
Every texture tells a story of natural light and patient craftsmanship.

Crafted from select natural alabaster, preserving its unique veining.
Meticulously cut and shaped by artisans.
Repeatedly ground and polished for a smooth, refined texture.
Carefully assembled and quality-inspected.
