See It In Motion
— Crafted from natural stone, illuminated by warm light —
The Twist Tapered Alabaster Wall Sconce embodies the perfect fusion of elegance and dynamism. Breaking free from the conventional monotony of traditional stone lighting, it infuses natural alabaster with a vibrant, upward-reaching vitality.
The essence of its design lies in its distinctive twisted form. This highly dynamic, spiraling silhouette transforms the fixture into a piece of kinetic art upon the wall. As light permeates the translucent stone, it casts a soft, jade-like glow, revealing the profound beauty of the natural veining and cultivating an atmosphere of exquisite warmth and luxury. Crafted specifically to elevate the aesthetic of your home, its diffused illumination gently softens the sharp angles of a room. It serves as an ideal decorative light source for hallways, living rooms, or bedrooms—providing ambient light while infusing your home with a sense of serene luxury.
No two pieces of stone are ever the same
Alabaster is a natural stone, so every piece carries its own veining and subtle variation in color. The fixture you receive may therefore differ slightly from the images shown.

Select the size marked (*2) — two together come at a better price than buying them separately.
Real stone, a solid frame, and genuine hand-grinding you can see — nothing hidden, nothing faked.
The twisted shade starts as a solid block of genuine natural alabaster, then it's ground and polished by hand — from coarse to fine grit until the surface turns smooth and silken. The veining runs right through the stone, so no two are ever alike.
Behind the stone sits a solid metal frame and backplate that mounts flush to a standard wall box. It carries the weight of the stone with no flex or rattle — the reason buyers describe it as feeling reassuringly solid and heavy in the hand.
Laid out, it's honest: the twisted stone shade, the metal backplate, and all the mounting hardware you need to hang it. Each part is made to fit and packed complete, so there are no surprises on installation day — a standard G9 bulb slots in, and it wires straight to a normal wall box. Everything you need arrives in one box, ready to go up.
— Real stone. Solid frame. Ground by hand. Nothing to hide. —

Select the size marked (*2) — two together come at a better price than buying them separately. This sconce looks especially elegant mounted in twos, flanking a bed, mirror, or doorway.
It takes a standard G9 bulb (Max 40W), so you can fit an LED or a vintage Edison bulb to suit your look. For the warmest glow through the stone, we suggest a warm-white bulb around 2700–3000K.
The same twisted alabaster shade, offered as a single sconce or a taller two-light design. Both share the same slim proportions.
Mount two, one on each side, for a symmetrical look.

A fuller look on one plate — no second install needed.

Picture the last quiet hour of your evening.
You reach over and press the switch. The harsh overhead light goes off, and the room falls to a single warm point on the wall — a slim, tapering column of stone that seems to turn slowly as the light climbs through it. The spiral catches the glow along one edge and lets it fall soft on the other, and the whole room exhales with it.
That twist isn't a machine effect. Each shade is ground and polished by hand from a solid block of natural alabaster, the spiral followed along the stone's own grain until the surface turns silken. Because it's real stone, the veining runs right through it — the piece on your wall exists nowhere else in the world.
By day it's quiet: a pale, sculptural form that asks for nothing and dresses the wall on its own. By night it becomes the reason the room feels calm — the kind of warm, low light you sink into after a long day, beside a bed, along a hallway, or framing a mirror. Not a lamp you notice. A feeling you come home to.
A hand-shaped spiral of natural alabaster — sculptural when off, softly glowing when on.
The tapering twist isn't just a shape — it's what gives the light movement. As the glow climbs the stone, the spiral catches it along one edge and lets it fall soft on the other, so the sconce looks alive and sculptural rather than flat. It's a form that rewards a second look, day or night.
Light travels through the stone instead of glaring straight out, spilling a gentle halo up and down the wall. There's no harsh bright spot to catch your eye — just a warm, jade-like glow that makes a bedside, hallway, or reading nook feel instantly calm.
The shade is hand-ground from genuine natural alabaster — never resin or faux stone — so no two share the same veining. Switched off, it reads as a pale stone sculpture on the wall; switched on, it glows from within. It earns its place lit or unlit, and natural stone that won't yellow with the years.

What real stone gives you that glass, resin, and acrylic sconces can't.

Natural stone lighting
The Vidir lighting edit
Most shades block light and let it out at the edges. Yet, this stone-textured lampshade manages to achieve exactly that.
Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.
The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.
Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.
Designed for better living
Use warm white (2700K). The stone itself has an off-white, creamy tone; cool light passing through it makes it look grayish and dingy, whereas warm light brings out that honey-like hue seen in the photos.
Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.
The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Alabaster Cylindrical Chain Chandelier
Alabaster is translucent, so the light travels through the stone rather than escaping at the edges — the whole shade glows, veining and all. Every piece carries a pattern that was decided underground, which is why no two are alike.
Resin is cast in moulds, so the "veining" repeats from one shade to the next and the light passes through evenly with no depth to it. It also ages differently: sitting close to a warm bulb, resin tends to amber and grow brittle within a few years.
