The Bridell Leather-Wrapped Brass Wall Sconce by Vidirlighting sets a tapered white linen shade on a slim brass stem, held to a round brass backplate by a strap of stitched leather, like a buckle closed around the light.
The idea came from the tack room, where every bridle hangs from a single brass hook and every strap is finished with one neat line of stitching. We gave the sconce the same honesty: a band of leather wraps the brass and closes with a visible seam, a round backplate carries it like a hook on the wall, and a linen shade softens the light into a warm, even glow.
It is a leather wall sconce that feels tailored rather than trendy, at home in a modern traditional or transitional home. The 1-light is a slim bedside wall sconce and a natural fit along a hallway or stairwell; the 2-light spreads two shades along a stitched leather bar to flank a mirror, a fireplace or a console. Choose brown leather for warmth or black for a sharper outline.

Genuine saddle leather wrapped around every arm, brass that does the holding, and linen that turns bare bulbs into a warm pool over the table. The kind of chandelier that looks better in its tenth year than its first.

Bringing It Home
Your first evening under it
You've come back to this page more than once. Here is what actually happens after you order.
Most light fixtures disappear into the ceiling the day they're installed. This one tends to change how the room gets used — and it starts the moment the box is opened.
The day it arrivesYou lift the lid and the first thing you notice isn't the brass — it's the smell of real leather. Every arm is wrapped and stitched, and the linen shades come nested and clean.
6:40 pm · The first switchThe electrician has gone. You flick it on and the whole table goes warm at once — the linen catches the bulbs, and the leather reads deeper than it did in daylight.
7:45 pm · DinnerThe light lands in a pool on the table, not in anyone's eyes, so nobody squints or reaches for the switch. Somewhere around the second course, someone asks where it's from.
10:30 pm · The last glassEveryone's gone. You dim it low and the brass glows against the dark leather — the room you actually wanted to sit in, finally lit the way you imagined.
A year laterThe brown has deepened a shade, the way a good saddle does after a season. It looks more like yours than it did the day it arrived.
Most lights age. This one settles in.
Three Materials
Each one doing a real job
Nothing on Bridell is there to look expensive. It looks expensive because of what it is made from — and each material earns its place.
01
Genuine Leather
Brown or black · wrapped & stitched
Real hide wrapped tight around every arm and closed with a single even line of stitching — the way a bridle strap is finished. It softens with time and slowly deepens in tone, so the fixture looks richer in year five than on the day it arrives.
Versus leather-lookPU and vinyl wraps look similar in a photo, then crack, peel and fade near warm bulbs within a few years.
02
Brass Fittings
Collars, rods & hook joints
Brass collars close every joint like a buckle, and brass rods and hooks carry the frame from the ceiling. The hardware is the structure, not decoration added afterwards — which is why every visible metal part is doing something.
Versus painted metalBrass-tone paint on bare iron chips at the joints and shows grey underneath. A proper finish wears into a warmer tone instead.
03
White Linen
Tapered fabric shades
Each shade is tapered linen, which turns a bare candelabra bulb into an even, warm glow and throws a soft pool of light down onto the table. No glare at eye level, no hard hot spot, and a clean white silhouette when the lights are off.
Versus plastic-backed shadesPolyester or plastic-lined shades glow unevenly and yellow near the bulb. Linen stays white and diffuses the light properly.
Up Close
Four details worth a closer look
These are real photographs of the finished fixture, not renders. Each note below matches one corner of the photo — the parts you only notice when you are standing right underneath it.

Elegant and sophisticated, a highlight of the home!
We installed a whole row of them in the entryway hallway, and the effect is stunning! The veining on each piece of marble varies slightly, giving it a truly custom, bespoke feel.
I highly recommend choosing a warm light source! When the warm light filters through the white alabaster, the stone takes on a soft, amber-like glow, creating a wonderfully soothing ambiance throughout the room.
I installed them on either side of the sideboard in my dining room. When friends come over for dinner, just having this pair of lamps on creates an ambiance that rivals a high-end restaurant! The glow from the natural alabaster gives the entire space a look that is both upscale and inviting.
The pleated material filters the light naturally, eliminating any dark spots or glare. We paired it with a smart dimmer switch, and it handles everything perfectly—from bright lighting for gatherings to a soft, ambient glow for winding down in the evening.
Excellent product and a fantastic shopping experience.
Before purchasing, I emailed to ask about the suspension cable length and ceiling canopy dimensions, and the customer service team provided a very detailed, professional response within just a few hours. The entire buying experience was seamless, and the quality of the light fixture is outstanding.
