Yes. It combines natural alabaster with brass. As alabaster is a natural stone, every piece has its own texture and subtle color variation, so your pendant may differ from the images; this is an inherent characteristic, not a defect. Finishes include white, black and gold, and the color option offered is White+Black.

Should I choose the 47.2-inch or 59.1-inch Organic Linear Pendant for my table or island?

Sizes are listed as 47.2 in (120 cm) and 59.1 in (150 cm), both H 2 in (5 cm). As a general guide, pick a length shorter than your table or island so light covers the surface without overhanging the ends. Send us your table length and we will help you decide between the two.

What kind of light does this linear pendant give, and can it be dimmed?

It provides a focused downward light distribution, suited to task areas or highlighting features. The light source is an integrated LED in warm light, 3000K, max 40 W, on AC 110-240V, with a push-button switch. The light source supplied by default does not support dimming, so please contact us to confirm dimming options before ordering.

How long is the suspension cable, and what does the pendant weigh?

We provide 59 in (150 cm) wires, which can be lengthened as needed if you contact us, so it can suit higher ceilings. The pendant is ceiling-mounted for indoor use. Weight is not listed, so please contact us before ordering and we will confirm it for your ceiling support. We recommend a qualified electrician for installation.

How do I clean the alabaster on the Organic Linear Pendant?

Dust the stone and brass gently with a soft dry cloth, with the light off and cool. Avoid water, sprays and cleaners, which can mark natural alabaster. The pendant is listed for indoor use with no IP rating, so it is not intended for bathrooms or outdoor kitchens.

Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.

The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.

Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.

Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.

The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Looks beautiful, arrived with faulty LED driver

Looks beautiful, but arrived with a faulty LED driver and burnt out the LED string light. Basically broke within minutes of it being wired in. Luckily I found a local lighting company who had a similar LED driver and was able to replace the LED lights. It’s a very custom lighting system that you can not easily replace. Buyer beware of that.

Honestly, the final look completely won me over! Each hook is designed in a reasonable way, so that the glass tubes hang naturally in a staggered manner, without the rigid feel of an industrial mold. I am very satisfied with this light fixture.
