Who we are
Vidirlighting is a lighting manufacturer that sells its own work. We draw, carve and assemble alabaster, travertine and marble fixtures — pendants, chandeliers, sconces, floor and table lamps — and send them from our workshop bench straight to your address.
Most decorative stone lighting reaches an American living room only after passing through a trading company, an importer, a brand and a retailer. Every one of them adds a margin, and not one of them touched the stone. We took that chain out by selling what we make ourselves, which is the only reason a hand-carved alabaster fixture here is priced like a mass-produced one somewhere else.
Everything on this site is ours. Nothing is bought off a marketplace, drop-shipped or rebranded. If something is wrong with a fixture, we know which bench it left — and we are the ones who fix it.

Factory direct, with a team behind it
Choosing a light fixture is not choosing a tool that makes a room brighter. It is choosing how the room feels at seven in the evening. Because we design, produce and sell under one roof, you get two guarantees instead of a phone number that forwards to a warehouse.
Source-level pricing, stated plainly
We are the maker, not a reseller — from raw stone purchasing through to the finished piece leaving our floor. There is no hidden chain of margins in the number you see, and no cheaper material behind it either.

The material
Why we build almost everything from real stone
Acrylic and frosted glass scatter light evenly, which is another way of saying flatly. Alabaster does something no factory can print: it lets light travel into the material before it comes back out.

Light with depth, not glare
The stone diffuses from the inside, so a room reads warm and settled instead of lit. It is the difference guests notice without knowing why.

No two pieces repeat
Veining, translucency and colour shift block by block. The fixture on your ceiling has a pattern that exists once.

Alabaster, travertine and marble are sculptural in daylight. Most fixtures are only interesting after dark; these earn their place around the clock.

In the workshop
From quarry block to your ceiling
Four stages, all of them on our own floor. Nothing is subcontracted to a workshop we have never walked through.
Selecting the block
We buy stone by the block, not the sheet, and reject anything with fractures or dead patches that would kill the glow.
Cutting and carving
Slices are taken thin enough to transmit light, then shaped and hand-finished until the surface reads soft rather than sanded.
Metalwork and wiring
Frames are built, plated and fitted with components rated for US household voltage, then tested before final assembly.
Lighting and packing
Every fixture is switched on, inspected lit and unlit, then foam-packed piece by piece for the trip across the ocean.
