The Clasp Alabaster Pendant Light holds a shade of natural alabaster in a fine square clasp. Off, it is a quiet piece of stone. On, it glows from within and every vein comes alive.

Alabaster is a soft, translucent mineral that has been shaped into lamps and windows for thousands of years. Light passes through the stone rather than bouncing off it, so the glow is warm, even and free of glare, with clouds, bands and veins in ivory and honey tones.

The clasp is the signature. A square bracket with knurled side collars and two fine pins grips the shade at its neck, like an instrument holding a specimen. Crisp metal against soft stone gives each pendant its character, in a Bell, Cone or Globe shape.

Your shade will be yours alone

Alabaster is cut from natural stone, not poured into a mould. Its clouds, bands and veins formed over thousands of years, so the shade you receive will never look exactly like the photos, or like any other shade.

PatternVeins may be fine or bold, sparse or dense, and run in any direction.
ToneColour ranges from milky white to warm honey, and deepens to amber when lit.
GlowThinner areas let more light through, giving each shade its own play of light.

These differences are the mark of real stone, not a defect, and they are why no two Clasp pendants look the same.

Good to know before you order

Which shape should I choose?

Choose Bell for wide light over a table, Cone for focused task light, and Globe for the softest all-around glow.

Can I mix the three shapes?

Yes. All three share the same 25 cm width and clasp, so a mixed row still reads as one set.

How high should I hang it over an island?

Hang the bottom of each shade 30–36″ above the counter, spaced about 24–30″ apart.

Is the shade real alabaster?

Yes. It is natural alabaster, so every shade has its own veining and tone.

What bulb does it use?

One E12 or E14 bulb up to 40W. A warm 2700K LED gives the best glow through the stone.

Is it dimmable?

The standard fixture has a push-button switch and is not dimmable.

What voltage does it need?

It runs on AC 110–240V, so it works in the US and most other countries.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

Only in a dry area well away from the shower or tub, as it is rated IP20.

How long is the rod?

It comes in 50, 30 and 20 cm sections, 100 cm / 39.4″ in total, so you can set the drop you need.

Can it hang from a sloped ceiling?

Yes. Tell us the slope when ordering and we will supply an angled canopy so the rod hangs straight.

Can I choose the veining?

Yes. Ask for Soft Cloud, Classic or Bold veining and we will select a shade to match.

How soon will it ship?

Each light is prepared at our factory in 5–10 days and then shipped.

How do I clean the stone?

Dust it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water and cleaners, as alabaster is a soft stone.
