A column of light in natural stone
Natural white alabaster on a brass frame, glowing like candlelight through stone. A calm, sculptural wall sconce for bedrooms, hallways and living spaces.
The Stela alabaster wall sconce carries that idea into your home. Each one is a quiet column of natural stone, marking the places you return to every day: the bedside where you end the evening, the hallway you walk at night, the wall that greets guests at the door.
Its cylinder shade is natural white alabaster, a translucent stone people have carved into lamps and windows since ancient times. By day it looks soft and milky. Switch it on and the stone warms from within, revealing layered veining that glows like candlelight through marble. Set on a slim brass frame in gold, black or nickel, the Stela suits warm minimalist, Art Deco, modern classic and Japandi interiors alike.

No two pieces of stone are ever the same
Alabaster is a natural stone, so every piece carries its own veining and subtle variation in colour. The sconce you receive may differ slightly from the images shown, which makes your Stela truly one of a kind.

W 11 cm × H 30 cmW 4.3″ × H 11.8″
A slender column for bedside walls, either side of a mirror, or repeated along a hallway.

W 11 cm × H 58 cmW 4.3″ × H 22.8″
A statement column for tall walls, stairways, high ceilings, or framing a large mirror.

W 26 cm × H 30 cmW 10.2″ × H 11.8″
Two glowing columns side by side, a natural focal point above a console or in a living room.
Tip: sconces usually look best with their centre about 150–170 cm (60–66″) from the floor. Beside a bed, mount them a little lower so the light falls where you read.
Select the size marked (*2) and two sconces together come at a better price than buying them separately. Ideal for both sides of a bed, mirror or doorway.
Yes. Every Stela shade is natural white alabaster stone, not glass, resin or plastic. Its veining shows most clearly when the light is on.
Very close, but not identical. Because alabaster is natural stone, each shade has its own veining and slight colour variation. This is a natural feature of real stone, not a defect.
The frame is brass, finished in gold, black or nickel.
No. The Stela is rated IP20 for indoor, dry rooms only. It suits bedrooms, hallways, stairways, living rooms and dining rooms, but should not be installed in bathrooms or other damp areas.
No. The Stela turns on and off with a push-button switch and is not dimmable. Its alabaster shade already softens the light into a warm, gentle glow.
It uses an E12 or E14 bulb, up to 40 W. E12 (candelabra) is standard in the US, Canada and Mexico. E14 is standard in the UK, Europe, Australia and much of Asia.
A warm white LED bulb, 2700–3000K, brings out the warm, candle-like glow of the alabaster and runs cool.
As a guide, place the centre of the sconce about 150–170 cm (60–66″) from the floor. Beside a bed, a little lower works well for reading.
Yes. The Stela runs on AC 110–240 V, which covers the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia and most other countries.
The Stela mounts directly to the wall. For safety, we recommend installation by a qualified electrician.
The single (11 × 30 cm) suits bedside walls and either side of a mirror. The single tall (11 × 58 cm) makes a statement on tall walls and stairways. The double (26 × 30 cm) creates a focal point above a console or in a living room.
Gold feels warm and classic with cream walls, wood and marble. Black gives a sharp, modern outline. Nickel is cool and refined, ideal with grey tones and chrome details.
Yes. Choose the size option marked (*2) to get two sconces together at a lower price than buying them one by one.
Each sconce is prepared at our factory in 5–10 days, then dispatched to you. You will see the delivery estimate for your country at checkout.

Natural stone lighting
The Vidir lighting edit
Most shades block light and let it out at the edges. Yet, this stone-textured lampshade manages to achieve exactly that.
Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.
The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.
Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.
Designed for better living
Use warm white (2700K). The stone itself has an off-white, creamy tone; cool light passing through it makes it look grayish and dingy, whereas warm light brings out that honey-like hue seen in the photos.
Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.
The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Our product
Alabaster Cylindrical Chain Chandelier
Alabaster is translucent, so the light travels through the stone rather than escaping at the edges — the whole shade glows, veining and all. Every piece carries a pattern that was decided underground, which is why no two are alike.
Resin is cast in moulds, so the "veining" repeats from one shade to the next and the light passes through evenly with no depth to it. It also ages differently: sitting close to a warm bulb, resin tends to amber and grow brittle within a few years.
THE ART OF ALABASTER
The natural texture of alabaster brings a warm, mineral quality to the space. (Please contact us if you require a specific texture.)
A pure white texture reminiscent of fresh snow—warm, smooth, and refined.
Deep, inky patterns flow across a white base.
A dynamic pattern resembling a bolt of lightning streaking across the sky.
Fine, intricate cracks evoking the aesthetic beauty of a sheet of ice at the moment it shatters.
A pattern as light and airy as falling snowflakes, with every single flake unique.
Material · Method · Light
Every texture tells a story of natural light and patient craftsmanship.

Crafted from select natural alabaster, preserving its unique veining.
Meticulously cut and shaped by artisans.
Repeatedly ground and polished for a smooth, refined texture.
Carefully assembled and quality-inspected.
