Is the veining on every lamp identical?

No. Alabaster comes from natural mineral deposits, so the veining, depth of colour and translucency of every piece are unique. Your lamp will share the character of the photos, with its own natural pattern.

Won’t thick stone make the light too dim?

No. Alabaster is known for letting light through. Switched off, the lamp has a soft, milky-white look; switched on, the light diffuses through the stone into a comfortable, ambient glow. It is designed as atmospheric light rather than a bright reading lamp.

Can I choose the veining or texture?

Yes. We can select stone with a particular look, from creamy and plain to bold, cloud-like veining. Please contact us with the style you have in mind before ordering.

Will the stone change colour over time?

Natural alabaster is a stable mineral. Kept in a dry indoor room, away from water, it will not yellow the way many inexpensive artificial materials can. Over the years the surface may develop a subtle, warm patina.

Does it need installation?

No. It plugs into a standard wall socket with its 150 cm (59″) cord, and turns on and off with a foot switch on the floor.

How do I turn it on?

Will the stacked alabaster sections on my floor lamp match the product photos?

Not exactly. Each alabaster section comes from natural mineral deposits, so its veining, color depth, and translucency are unique, and the lamp you receive may differ from the images. We note this is not a quality defect. Under our return policy, returns for personal reasons such as color must be requested within 30 days of receipt, in new, unused condition with original packaging, and return shipping is paid by the customer.

Won't the alabaster be too thick for light to come through on this floor lamp?

By design, the stone thickness is calculated so that light diffuses through it. Switched off, the alabaster shows a soft, milky-white appearance; switched on, the integrated LED (Warm White, 3000K, max 40W) creates a comfortable ambient glow through the stone. It is designed as ambient, mood lighting that reveals the veining of each section rather than a bright directional reading light.

Can I dim the Geometric Alabaster Sculptural Floor Lamp?

The specifications list a push-button switch and state that it is not dimmable, with an integrated LED light source in Warm White 3000K. Please plan on simple on/off operation. The page also carries a general note about dimmable bulbs, which does not match the integrated LED specification, so if dimming is essential for your room, contact us to confirm before you order.

Where should I place an 11-inch-wide, 59-inch-tall alabaster floor lamp?

The lamp measures 11" in diameter by 59" high (28 x 150 cm). The placement guide suggests setting it beside and slightly behind a sofa, in a dim living room corner to add depth, slightly behind a TV cabinet to soften screen contrast, or in a home office on the side opposite your dominant hand. It ships with a 59" (150 cm) cord and switch plug, extendable on request.

Will this natural alabaster yellow or change color over the years?

We describe genuine alabaster as a mineral with stable physical properties. Kept in a dry indoor environment and away from direct water exposure, such as a shower area, it is described as not yellowing or deteriorating with age, unlike inexpensive artificial stone. Over time the surface may develop a subtle, warm patina. The specifications list the environment as Indoor only.

Translucent properties

Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.

Naturally formed

The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.

Durable and long-lasting

Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.

Clean Only with a Dry Cloth

Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.

It is heavier than it looks.

The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Looks beautiful, arrived with faulty LED driver

Looks beautiful, but arrived with a faulty LED driver and burnt out the LED string light. Basically broke within minutes of it being wired in. Luckily I found a local lighting company who had a similar LED driver and was able to replace the LED lights. It’s a very custom lighting system that you can not easily replace. Buyer beware of that.

Honestly, the final look completely won me over! Each hook is designed in a reasonable way, so that the glass tubes hang naturally in a staggered manner, without the rigid feel of an industrial mold. I am very satisfied with this light fixture.
