It looks even better in person than in the photos!

While the photos on the webpage are beautiful, they simply cannot capture that exquisite sense of translucency created when light passes through the alabaster. The craftsmanship and attention to detail on the actual product are superb; I am extremely satisfied with this purchase.

The packaging was very secure, with no damage.

But when I received the package, it was protected with foam inside, and the marble lampshade was intact. The seller's customer service team was also incredibly patient and helpful.

The lighting is soft and soothing.

The best feature of this alabaster lamp is its diffused lighting effect. The alabaster itself acts like a natural filter, casting a light that is incredibly even and soft.

Flawless.

I installed this in my master bedroom; it provides lighting that feels both modern and infused with natural elements. The natural texture of the stone adds a touch of warmth to an otherwise cool-toned bedroom. The packaging was very secure and there was no damage whatsoever. Kudos to the seller for their packaging!

The natural texture is absolutely captivating!

I installed three of these over my kitchen island. To be honest, before placing the order, I was a bit worried that the actual product might look like cheap plastic or frosted glass; however, once I received the shipment, my concerns were completely put to rest. This is genuine alabaster, and the veining on every single lamp is unique.

Nature's Gift

Every lamp is a singular piece of the earth

Alabaster is a natural mineral formed over thousands of years of geological sedimentation. The veining, hue, and translucency of every panel is unrepeatable. The flowing cloud patterns and delicate mineral fissures are nature's fingerprints—each lamp is not merely a lighting fixture, but an irreplicable work of natural art that belongs to no one else but you.

A Light That Breathes

Healing warmth, never harsh

What makes alabaster captivating is its exceptional ability to glow without revealing the source. It filters out the glare of raw light and transforms it into a warm, soft, and atmospheric ambiance. In an instant, the cold edges of a room dissolve—replaced by a quiet, healing presence that turns any space into a sanctuary.

The Touch of Craftsmanship

Hand-polished, never machine-made

Each raw stone is studied repeatedly by skilled artisans. From coarse to fine grit, it passes through multiple stages of hand-polishing until the surface reveals a matte, silken sheen. Every imperfection is intentional. Every curve is the trace of a craftsman's hand—evidence that this lamp was made, not manufactured.

An Heirloom of Time

Built to age, not to fade

Natural alabaster possesses remarkable durability and physical stability. It will not yellow under light, nor emit chemical odors. Its life force endures the test of time—unfazed by years. As decades pass, a subtle patina forms on the surface, deepening its character and making the stone feel even more grounded and refined.

FAQ

Pairs Well With

Questions about this light

Is the Round Bosso Alabaster Pendant Lamp real alabaster, and will it look exactly like the photos?

Yes, the alabaster on this light is natural stone. Because every block of stone is different, the veining, cloudiness and warmth of tone vary from piece to piece, so the one you receive will not match the photos exactly. Natural variation is the sign of real stone, not a defect.

Can I use the Round Bosso Alabaster Pendant Lamp in a bathroom?

It is made for indoor use and no IP (water-resistance) rating is listed, so we don't recommend it near a shower or tub or in other damp spaces. It is a good fit for powder rooms with good ventilation, bedrooms, living and dining areas.

How do I clean the alabaster on the Round Bosso Alabaster Pendant Lamp?

Turn the light off and let it cool. Dust the stone with a dry, soft microfiber cloth or a soft brush. Avoid water, sprays and household cleaners: alabaster is porous, and liquids can leave marks or dull the surface. For the metal parts, a dry or barely damp cloth is enough.

What kind of light does the Round Bosso Alabaster Pendant Lamp give, and can it be dimmed?

Dimming isn't listed on this page, so please contact us before pairing it with a dimmer. It uses G9 bulbs.

Which size of the Round Bosso Alabaster Pendant Lamp should I choose?

It comes in these sizes: ∅ 4.7″ x H 13.8″; ∅ 5.9″ x H 13.8″. Pick the size that suits the scale of the room and the furniture beneath it. Most designers hang a pendant or chandelier about 30–36 in (76–91 cm) above a dining table or kitchen counter, and space multiple pendants about 24–30 in (61–76 cm) apart, center to center.

Natural stone lighting

The quiet glow of alabaster

Sculpted by nature, refined for modern spaces. Discover light with a softer point of view.

Hand-finished in stone

The alabaster edit

The Vidir lighting edit

The only shade that glows from inside.

Most shades block light and let it out at the edges. Yet, this stone-textured lampshade manages to achieve exactly that.

Translucent properties

Alabaster is translucent. Switch it on and the whole shade lights up from within, veining and all, instead of glowing only where the bulb sits. There is no bright spot to look at, because the light source is the entire surface.

Naturally formed

The veining was decided underground, long before anyone cut it. Every shade carries its own pattern and its own faint colour shift — so the piece that arrives is not the piece in the photograph, and that is the point.

Durable and long-lasting

Resin and acrylic imitations go amber and brittle within a few years of sitting next to a warm bulb. Stone does not age that way. The shade you unpack is the shade you will have in twenty years.

Designed for better living

Stone Light Fixtures

Natural stone is different from metal or glass. Understanding these points before you buy ensures there won't be any surprises after installation.

Light Color Defines the Look

Use warm white (2700K). The stone itself has an off-white, creamy tone; cool light passing through it makes it look grayish and dingy, whereas warm light brings out that honey-like hue seen in the photos.

Clean Only with a Dry Cloth

Alabaster is a natural stone that absorbs water and cleaning agents, which can leave permanent stains. Disconnect the power, let the bulb cool down, and then wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth—do not use water or spray cleaners.

It is heavier than it looks.

The density of the stone is far greater than that of a glass shade of the same size; ensure the ceiling's load-bearing capacity is sufficient for safety.

Natural Alabaster Lamps

Alabaster is translucent, so the light travels through the stone rather than escaping at the edges — the whole shade glows, veining and all. Every piece carries a pattern that was decided underground, which is why no two are alike.

Unique veining Soft, natural translucency Will not yellow

02 / Resin Material

Industrially Replicated Surface

Limitations of resin

Resin is cast in moulds, so the "veining" repeats from one shade to the next and the light passes through evenly with no depth to it. It also ages differently: sitting close to a warm bulb, resin tends to amber and grow brittle within a few years.

Looks beautiful, arrived with faulty LED driver

Looks beautiful, but arrived with a faulty LED driver and burnt out the LED string light. Basically broke within minutes of it being wired in. Luckily I found a local lighting company who had a similar LED driver and was able to replace the LED lights. It’s a very custom lighting system that you can not easily replace. Buyer beware of that.

Exceptional visual quality.

Honestly, the final look completely won me over! Each hook is designed in a reasonable way, so that the glass tubes hang naturally in a staggered manner, without the rigid feel of an industrial mold. I am very satisfied with this light fixture.

Perfect as an ambient light for the bedroom.

I ditched my table lamps and installed these on either side of the bed for reading and ambiance. Not only did it free up space on my nightstands, but it also gives the entire room a clean, sophisticated, and high-end look. The lighting was just right, soft and gentle. I love it!

A pleasant shopping experience.

It completely dispelled any doubts I had. The metal has a genuine brushed gold texture, not a garish, flashy gold. The leather feels authentic and soft, with tight, even stitching.

It has completely transformed the ambiance of our entryway.

This is the first thing I see when I walk through the front door. Coming home after a long day and seeing this warm wall lamp makes all my fatigue melt away. It looks perfect, whether in natural daylight or illuminated at night.
