The story
Cygnus, named after the swan in the stars
On clear summer nights, a great swan flies along the Milky Way. Cygnus, the swan constellation, has guided stargazers for thousands of years.
The Cygnus chandelier brings that swan down to earth, in stone. Dozens of curved feathers of natural alabaster hang in four layered tiers, each one gently bowing outward like the edge of a folded wing. Switch it on and the light passes through every feather, so the whole chandelier glows from within, layer upon layer, with soft, cloud-like veining drifting across each piece.
Hung from an antique bronze chain, the Cygnus is a centrepiece above a dining table, in an entryway, over the bed in a primary bedroom, or in a living room with generous ceilings. It suits French country, old-world European, Mediterranean, modern classic and organic modern interiors alike.

Yes. Every feather is cut from natural white alabaster, a soft, translucent stone, then shaped and polished into its gentle curve. It is not glass, resin or shell.
Why does each feather look different?
Alabaster forms over thousands of years, so every piece carries its own clouds, veins and tone. Across dozens of feathers, that variation gives the light its soft, living texture. It is a natural feature of real stone, not a defect.
How does the light come through?
The bulbs sit at the heart of the four tiers. Light passes through each translucent feather and through the layers behind it, so the whole chandelier glows from within with no bare bulbs in view.

Over a table or bed, where no one walks beneath, a 2.4 m (8 ft) ceiling works. Where people walk underneath, allow at least 2.1 m (7 ft) of clearance, so ceilings from about 2.8 m (9 ft) are best.

Which bulbs should I use?
E12 or E14 bulbs, up to 40 W. E12 (candelabra) is standard in the US, Canada and Mexico; E14 in the UK, Europe, Australia and much of Asia. Warm white LED bulbs of 2700–3000K bring out the honeyed glow of the stone and run cool.
Is it dimmable?
The standard Cygnus is on/off only. A dimmable version is available on request: please contact us before ordering.
How is it installed?
It is a hardwired ceiling chandelier. Natural stone is heavy, so it should be installed by a qualified electrician on a ceiling box rated for chandeliers, following local electrical codes.
Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. It is rated IP20 for indoor, dry rooms only.
Care and ordering
How do I clean it?
Switch off and let the bulbs cool, then dust each feather with a soft, dry brush or microfibre cloth, supporting the feather with your other hand. Avoid water, sprays and chemical cleaners, as alabaster is porous.
Will it work with the voltage in my country?
Yes. It runs on AC 110–240 V, which covers the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia and most other countries.
